Your Memories & Wishes:

reminding you of the day we sat in class 40 years ago to listen to the live telecast of man's first step on the surface of the moon. Rajendran is somewhere on holiday where he cannot access the computer, so he called me to sent this out to you. If you people recall anything about the event please recollect and let us know.
By the way, its also the 69ers' 40th anniversary. A big cheer to all of you. Wishing you good health always.
Cheers!

.I remember...in fact I tell this story all time in my workshops on innovative thinking - of how Barbara brought her short wave radio into our class, tuned into the landing broadcast...probably freaked out the rest of the staff (& the principal) for doing something that isn NOT in the lesson plan!
I remember Barb said something like: "This is your lesson for today...for history is beng made..."
Thanks Barb for 'breaking the rules' in 1969 in Singapore and making that day memorable for me in more than one way.

Hi all fellow 69ers,

I have been thinking of you all since all the hype about the moon landing 40 years ago, and remembering my little trannie on the desk and trying to hear over the short wave radio with all the crackle...

What memory though and it is so good to know that you all remember that day as we, if I remember, just sat and listened for some time. It wasn't shown on TV in Singapore, but my previous school in Australia at that time sent the children home to watch it on their TV’s. It a was about 1pm local time then.

...and happy 40th anniversary to you all too!

Love and joy to all,

Barbara
